enAbout

About

I grew up with the love for music and discovered violin making when I began playing the violin at the age of 7. From that very moment, I knew that I had found my vocation.

At the age of 15, I joined the French violin-making school in Mirecourt, where I spent five years learning the art of making and restoration.

After receiving my diploma in 2003, I worked in multiple workshops: Olivier Pérot (Montréal, Canada), The Sound Post (Toronto, Canada), Urs Wenk Wolff (Oslo, Norway). In 2006, I moved to Denmark, where I worked for Jens Stenz for seven years. Encouraged by him, I returned to making new instruments in 2007.

Since 2014, I have had my own workshop in Risskov, Denmark, where I dedicate my time to making violins, violas and cellos.

I love to exchange ideas and knowledge with colleagues and take part in different violin making workshops along the year like the Oberlin College violin makers’ summer workshop, which gathers together leading international violin makers to collaborate and share innovative ideas. I also have the privilege of working with Frank Ravatin for a few weeks each year and have benefited extensively from his knowledge and experience.
